National Pop Music Workshop for Educators
Schools have found great success in engaging students, parents, and local communities by implementing standards-based Popular Music Education Programs. Popular music education takes place at the intersections of identity realization, learning, teaching, enculturation, entrepreneurship, creativity, a global multimedia industry and innumerable instances of music making as leisure.
These programs are growing at an exponential rate and school districts, community centers and after-school programs are all discovering that by providing pop music experiences, young people are becoming more engaged in their general education.
Participating educators will work hands-on with student bands in recording studios on state-of-the-art equipment and receive loads of resources to use in classrooms.
Guest Artists for Songwriting, Copyright, and Production will be in attendance. Reception & Working Lunches included. 2025 Schedule to come!
